It is a HEC-accredited university with two branch campuses in Rahim Yar Khan Bahawalnagar. The main campus is far away from the city center and provides buses and roller coasters for ordinary students to transport students, faculty and non-faculty staff. Rahim Yar Khan and Bahawalnagar campuses also provide this service. Ordinary students can use the facilities in the male and female dormitory. The university provides free VPN connections for master of philosophy and doctoral students. IUB has more than 47 departments, 78 disciplines and 6 colleges and centers.
